Major has been doing great since we brought him home in October and is growing into quite a handsome dog. He was quick to housebreak and a fast learner. The first week was interesting as Phoebe was trying to figure it all out, but they have became fast friends. We often call Major Phoebe’s Shadow – he loves following her around. Major is a little more mischievous than Phoebe, who prides herself on her good behaviour. Major loves to find socks in the laundry and bring them to Phoebe’s bed to chew on for a little while before leaving them behind to frame Phoebe for his crime. But we know her well and have caught him with socks in his mouth enough times to know who the true culprit is.
If I am in the kitchen that’s where you’ll find Major. He loves to lie at my feet while I cook or even while I’m doing the dishes. I know well-enough now to watch where I’m going or else I might trip up in a poodle. He’s a great little friend and he has fit in so well. Thank you for another wonderful dog. We felt Phoebe was setting the bar pretty high, but Major is another great dog. We couldn’t be happier.
Phoebe is doing well too. She continues to be a wonderful girl who is eager to please and easy-going. Her maturity has been emerging over the past year both with the arrival of Major and her approaching third birthday. She’s a wonderful companion and we are so pleased to have her as part of our family. I fell late last year and suffered a couple injuries including a broken arm and Phoebe took it upon herself to be my personal nurse while I recovered. She barely left my side and was so careful about her movements when she was lying next to me. If I was spending time in the living room on a small couch, she would find the tiniest bit of space to curl up next to me and stay there as long as I did. She was a great comfort during my recovery and it always amazed us how she seemed to know what my limits were and to avoid my broken arm. She’s the sweetest girl and she is loved so much.
Thank you again for giving us two wonderful dogs!
