Tex has settled in very well and is growing like a weed….his paws are huge, so much for him being the smallest puppy of the litter! He and Kali are becoming great buddies and spend lots of time playing in the garden….my hosta beds are their favourite spot. Tex and Lucie, our African Grey parrot, have also met several times when the parrot decides she is going to walk through the kitchen. The animal kingdom is getting along fine!
Our Nelson celebrated his second birthday in June. We love him so much!
Everyday that we have him in our lives is a blessing. He is such a loving and fine boy. A great companion for us, very gentle and protective of the grandchildren and just all around excellent family member. Goes pretty much wherever we go, he does not like to be left behind at home.
Keira Rose and I had the honour of going to Fredericton for The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem Priory of Canada St. John Council for New Brunswick Annual Awards Ceremony. The chair’s commendation is presented to individuals who have performed an exemplary deed or activity in the pursuit of the objectives of St. John and it was awarded to us for outstanding commitment to the growth and sustainability of the Therapy Dog Program in New Brunswick. It came as a complete surprise!
The Therapy Dog Program has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Keira Rose and I are looking forward to a lot more years to come.
Keira Rose and I are learning agility. We have joined a doggie gym just for fun. It is a great way to stimulate her mentally and physically. We have so much ice in St. John our activity is limited outdoors. Like most poodles, Keira Rose is a smart cookie and picks up on things easily.
Winter is Phinny’s favorite season. He loves the snow, the cold weather, and of course his Frisbee. We let his coat grow a bit more in the winter. He is a wonderful boy and brings much joy to our family.
