This is a learning-intensive webinar series, where we examine what "regenerative agriculture" tactics are all about and how these things work, and apply the 12 principles of permaculture to planning and management of your piece of land.  Whether you have a patio in the city, or a farm in the country, these concepts will be applicable for you. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the Q&A afterwards and will receive a certificate of completion.

You'll learn about all of the items below:

  • Strategic Land Assessment – Evaluating soil health, looking at the water present on your land, understanding how to capture and hold, rather than funnel away.  We will discuss prevailing winds, sun exposure, different stages of land development (wooded, grassland, plowed fields, marsh, etc) and existing potential on your land based on your location, natural resources, growing zone, watershed, and topography
  • Building Resilient Farming Systems – We will talk about some of the methods employed in regenerative agriculture. These include but are not limited to intensive growing methods such as alleycropping, agroforestry, intercropping, sequential planting, companion planting, trapcropping, cover crops, compost, biostimulants, biochar, and livestock integration
  • Practical Implementation – Infrastructure planning, order of installation, equipment selection, and developing multi-year plan for growth and efficiencies using human labor. We will cover do's and dont's for timing planting, harvesting methods, weed control, and so much more to maximize your yields and minimize inputs, especially your time.
  • Problem-Solving & Optimization – Every site has a challenge. Some are more common than others, and we will address the most common ones and maybe your own unique challenge! We will discuss restoration challenges, normal mistakes, and some great hacks.  Time is money, so we will discuss ways to help you to get maximum yields with minimal efforts, always improving farm efficiency and paying yourself for your own time and efforts and beyond-organic food for you and your family.
